Bay League Prelims/Finals

Couldn't find the time to blog on Prelims night.
Wednesday was Girls Bay League Prelims. We had quite a few outstanding swims that day, most, if not all made it back to Finals on Friday.
Thursday after swim practice, the girls went to Amanda Capellinos house and had our traditional shaving party! 4 guys showed up to shave down...It took an army to shave those gorillas. It was possibly the Good thing the girls were able to shave themselves down. It feels really weird without hair on your arms...and when it grows back out, it gets all prickly and grows back black. Ick.
Friday. Bay League Finals. The one meet all of us look forward to. I had an emotional breakdown after my 100 breast...so embarrassing(haha). I suppose it had to end sometime...and the time came. Well, I plan to continue swimming in college, whether it is NCAA or Masters Swimming...or TriaThlon? Anyway, almost all of our swimmers swam their best times that day, a few made sectional cuts, junior national cuts. All of the girls relay teams made it to CIF, 200 Medley Relay-200 Free Relay-400 Free Relay. Bree, Chaya, Natalia, Sarina, Clara, Alyssa, Colleen (and sorry if I missed you) made it to CIF whether it is for relays or individuals,Congratulations. Great job to all the frosh/soph swimmers for a spectacular swim season. The GIRLS VARSITY WON THE BAY LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE this year!! three consecutive wins since we joined the Bay League. This is my fourth consecutive league win in all the four years I've been in HS. A few of the girls pushed Coach Jenna in the pool when they announced our win. CIF Prelims is next FRIDAY, and CIF Finals is the day after, Saturday. The final CIF qualification list will be up next week. Looking forward to another week of HS swimming!

BAY LEAGUE....preparation!

On Tuesday, the night before Bay League Prelims, my swim team decided to go get their nails done. We figured it would be a nice way to get together and keep our minds off the competition we will face tomorrow in the pool. Thank you Patty Camp for making the appointment for us, we really appreciate you for pampering us with manicures, pedicures, practice food and team dinners. We love you!

Today, while the girls were being pampered at Nails Max in Golden Cove, the guys team was at Mira Costa High School. I heard that all of the varsity guys made it back to League Finals, which will be held at MCHS on Friday. They are ranked 3rd in league so far. The Bay League consists of 5 teams. Mira Costa HS, Peninsula HS, Redondo HS, West HS and Palos Verdes HS.
We expect most of the girls to make it back for finals on Friday.

The Calculus AP test is tomorrow as well, but I'm going to take it on the makeup testing date, due to the swim meet. That means I have more time to prepare for it! Score! Art History MOCK AP test is tomorrow too...right after I get back from the swim meet. 2 1/2 hour test...Natalia, Sarah and I will sure have fun tomorrow night! Wooh for AHAP!

I should probably go to sleep now...
I will post another blog tomorrow night about how the girls did at Bay League Prelims.
